The LOSSA Finals kickoff this Saturday, November 2nd at the Oshawa Civic Terry Kelly Field.
The first game of the day 2:00pm sees Brooklin Bears take on the Uxbridge Tigers in the Junior Varsity Consolation Final. This is the second year in a row Brooklin has been in the Consolation Final, and the first time for Uxbridge in their inaugural season since returning to the league.
The Junior Championship Final is a rematch of the 2023 Final between the Dwyer Saints and Holy Trinity Titans. Last year the Saints came out on top in a 28-14 victory and are looking for their second consecutive title. The Titans only loss this season came against the Saints, as they look to avenge that on Saturday. The Junior Championship kicks off at 4:30pm. The winning team will go on to represent LOSSA in the Junior Metro Bowl Playdowns beginning November 18th.
The final game of the day is another rematch from last year's Senior Final as this time Holy Trinity looks to defend their championship against Dwyer. The Titans won a defensive battle last year in the Final 10-7, while the Saints came out on top in the regular season just two weeks ago. The Senior Final starts at 7:00pm. The LOSSA representative will qualify for the 39th Metro Bowl, renewed this year between league champions from LOSSA, ROPSAA, TDCAA, and TDSSAA. The LOSSA champion will also qualify for the OFSAA Bowl Championship Series held this year in Windsor from November 25-27 (schedule TBD).
Admission for the day is cash only, $2 for students, $5 for adults, with children 12 and under admitted free.
